Museo Pambata September 2011 Calendar

A Treat for Teachers!
To celebrate Teachers’ Month, Museo Pambata is treating the first five teachers who visit the museum every Thursday from September 1 to October 5 with special gifts!


Happy Grandparents’ Month!
MP shows love for lolos and lolas, by giving away free gift items to the first 30 grandparents who visit the museum with their families this month!

Every Saturday Morning
Haraya Storytelling Hour, 10 AM
Join MP in a story-filled morning! This month, they're featuring stories by Rene O. Villanueva, an author featured in Museo Pambata's Career Options room, in honor of his birthday on September 22.

September 3
Anino sa Museo, 10 AM
Watch your favorite songs and stories as they are performed by shadows and lights, together with Anino Shadowplay Collective.


September 4
MP Guides Corner, 2 PM
Make some music with a shaker made out of tissue roll tubes and beans! Our guides will show you how.

September 10
A Storytelling Workshop for Adults!
September is Literacy Month! Why not learn how to tell stories to children? Learn from Kuya Bodjie Pascua in this workshop for teens and adults.

September 13 to October 13
Zero In: Open Call
Join MP as it opens an exhibit as part of this year's Zero-In consortium project, with the theme “Open Call.” See various indigenous dance costumes from the collection of National Artist Ramon Obusan. An exhibit will also be held at SM Mall of Asia (from September 15 to 24).

September 17
Ang Bayanihan sa Museo, 10 AM
Dance with the Philippine National Folk Dance Company as they perform dances from all over the Philippines.


Dito sa Museo, Bida si Lola at Lolo, 10 AM
Celebrate Grandparents Day with the lolos and lolas of Hospicio de San Jose in a party specially organized for them.

September 18
MP Guides Corner, 2 PM
You can make reindeer from the outlines of your hands and feet! Learn how with MP's fun guides!

September 29
The Mobile Library is Back!
Museo Pambata's Mobile Library Van is back to bring stories to kids! MP re-launches the Mobile Library Van at the Manila City Hall.

Museo Pambata is located at Roxas Boulevard corner South Drive. Museum hours from Tuesday to Saturday are from 8 AM to 5 PM and 1 to 5 PM during Sunday. All activities are for free with admission (Php 100 for both children and adults). Manila residents with valid IDs may come in for free during Tuesdays and avail of a 50% discount on other days.
