Love The Skin You Are In

Love your skin and learn three basic things you can do to take care of it!

Press Release:

One of the body parts that need the most love from us would be our skin. A healthy, well cared for skin reflects how much we take care of ourselves. Two things we are often most guilty of that makes our skin looking so “unloved” are:  exposing ourselves to harsh elements without the necessary skin protection, and neglecting to instill a set of skin care routine which include daily ablutions and regular visits to the dermatologist or professional skin care clinics.

Dr. Vinson B. Pineda, renowned father of Philippine dermatology and founder of the Dermclinic, the pioneer expert in professional skincare here in the Philippines has this to say:  “Our skin needs the necessary maintenance and care on a daily basis. Added to that would be a regular consultation with a dermatologist and undergo procedures that address our skin needs. Otherwise, as you age, the neglect begin to show like wrinkles and age spots which could be irreversible.”

What Dr. Pineda promotes is that we achieve our best look and the best state of health for our skin even as we lead busy, varying lifestyles or whatever skin tone or condition we have. The best example for this is Dermclinic’s spokesperson, beauty queen and celebrity Ms. Venus Raj. “She is an epitome of a Filipina beauty. Her brown, healthy glow is a result of her commitment to take care of her skin despite her busy and stressful schedule,” Dr. Pineda explains

There are 3 basic things one can do to “love” their skin and will surely pay-off later on:

• Daily protection from the sun – prolonged and repeated exposure to the sun’s harmful UVA and UVB rays damages the skin, most common of which include wrinkles and hyperpigmentation. It is a must that one applies daily sun protection with a sunscreen that has ample levels of sun protection factor (SPF)

• Daily cleansing of the skin, especially the face – Dirt and impurities from pollution, cosmetics, and dust invade our skin on a daily basis. What averts adverse effects later on like acne, pimples, and skin blotches would be a daily skincare regimen such as the basic 3-step: cleanse, condition, and moisturize.

• Regular visits to the dermatologist – a professional dermatologist would have the necessary training and credentials to examine your skin and recommend the best procedures you need to undergo at a certain point. Depending on your age, skin condition, lifestyle, and other factors, the dermatologist would know what is best for your skin and what habits you need to adopt.

Dr. Pineda with his team of dermatologists:
(L-R) Dr. Onessa D. Lacaba, Dr. Rebecca Gavino-Sanchez,
Dr. Cristina Mendoza-Villar, and Dr. Maria Arlene M. Geronimo
Dr. Pineda couldn’t express more the importance of consulting a dermatologist. “I in fact have a team of well-trained and highly experienced dermatologists who I field in every Dermclinic branch. It is part of the professional service to give our customers expert advice on their skin so that they undergo the right procedures and get the best results.”  In other words, one can expect so much love and care from dermatologists everytime you visit Dermclinic.

Three of the most popular procedures offered at Dermclinic are: NuLight, a safe and effective non-invasive treatment that uses intense pulsed light (IPL) to address specific skin conditions.; The 3Face, a procedure that give patients a complete facial care – Microdermabrasion, Collagen Renewal, and Skin Tightening; and the NuDerm Supreme, an advanced skin rejuvenation system composed of different skincare products, each with its own unique formulation – to cleanse, tone, exfoliate, lighten, moisturize and protect skin.
