ADFIAP And APAFS Collaborate To Push For Sustainable Growth For The Region’s Investment Industry

Manila, Philippines - The Association of Development Financing Institutions in Asia and Pacific (ADFIAP) partners with the Asia Pacific Association for Fiduciary Studies (APAFS) for its 12th annual investment conference slated on November 15 and 16, 2012 at the New World Hotel, Manila.

Envisioned to be the premier investment conference in the region, the Pacific Region Investment Conference (PRIC) is designed to link training with regional understanding. This year, with the theme “Promoting Global Sustainability through Social Responsible Investing”, the PRIC’s goal is to promote for socially-responsible, ethical fiduciaries committed to sustainable economic development.

We envision a future of lasting economic, environmental and social development and growth in the region driven by and ultimately benefiting its peoples. To achieve this, we put great emphasis on professionalism, transparency, innovation and integrity. Partnering with organizations such as APAFS who espouse the same values, we believe that we can resonate this mission to achieve greater impact in the region’s investment professionals,” shares Octavio “Bobby” Peralta, ADFIAP Secretary General.


Headquartered in Manila, ADFIAP is the focal point of all development banks and other financial institutions engaged in the financing of development in Asia. Founded in 1976, ADFIAP has currently 131 member-institutions in 45 countries. ADFIAP is also a founding member, and currently the Secretariat of the World Federation of Development Financing Institutions composed of regional associations in Africa, Asia-Pacific, Latin America and the Middle East.

APAFS Executive Director, Daniel A. Roland says, “With the local partnerships for the PRIC, we aim to share the best practices that are the benchmark for responsible investment and funds management. We are looking forward to this year’s conference to further intensify linkages with various financial institutions and professionals. Working together, we aim to create a venue for a dynamic and engaging forum that pushes for sustainable investment and responsible growth for the entire Asia Pacific region.” 

Each year the conference attracts well over 200 attendees with representation from throughout the Asia Pacific region and beyond. In conjunction with the conference, APAFS brings for the second year the Accredited Investment Fiduciary™ (AIF) Training Program facilitated by fi360 on November 13 and 14, 2012 at the New World Makati City Hotel, Manila, Philippines. The AIF Training Program gives attendees the ability to earn the AIF designation, which is the first and only designation that demonstrates knowledge and competency in the area of fiduciary responsibility.
