Soundsright Now Represents Philippine Record Labels and Producers

Here's something worth knowing about intellectual property and music copyright ...

Sound Recording Rights Society, Inc. (Soundsright),  a Collective Management Organization (CMO),  was recently accredited by the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL) to represent the record labels and producers in the Philippines.

The Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL) presented the Certificate of Accreditation to Soundsright Officers and Board Members last May 14, 2015 at Victorino's, Quezon City.

Soundsright authorizes business establishments to use copyrighted sound recordings owned by the member record labels and producers and collect royalties on behalf of the copyright owners under section 209 of the Intellectual Property Code (Republic Act No. 8293).
