Microsoft Brings Families Together with Its Windows Holiday Campaign

If you're planning on buying any gadget installed with a Windows 7 product this December, make sure to buy from stores participating in Microsoft's Christmas promo to win great prizes!

Press Release:

Microsoft Philippines recently kicked-off of its holiday campaign, highlighting a wide array of its products across all devices. With the theme, “It’s a great time to be a family,” Microsoft is demonstrating how technology bridges the technological divide and brings people even closer together with a host of Windows products that are a perfect fit for all members of the family.

“Christmas always means family time, especially for Filipinos. This year, we want to be able to share with them how we can make it extra special through the use of technology,” said Mae Moreno, Windows Client Product Manager, Microsoft Philippines. “Microsoft continues to deliver quality technologies and we are committed to provide families with the capabilities of reconnecting with each other in fun, accessible and affordable ways.”

Through the Windows Holiday Campaign, Microsoft is showcasing an entire range of retail products that work seamlessly together, which includes Windows 7, Microsoft Office and Windows Phone 7. Together with its partners Acer, Asus, Dell, HP, Lenovo, Neo, Red Fox, Samsung, Sony, Toshiba and HTC, Microsoft continuously works hard to deliver Windows 7 packages and offerings ranging from desktops to laptops and smartphones, creating the perfect combination for everyone.

Ligaya Salonga, mother of world-class singer and multi-award winning actress Lea Salonga and conductor, musical arranger, orchestrator and musical director Gerard Salonga, shared how technology allows her to stay in touch with her family, “I spend a lot of time with my grandchildren especially when Lea has commitments overseas. We take photos of all our activities together, and even when Nicole or Antonio are overseas, I always receive pictures of them,” she said.

“Technology has changed people’s lives and this includes how we keep in touch with our loved ones. It’s a good thing that I’ve started learning how to use a computer because that’s where I store all my photos of Nicole. Windows 7 has a feature called Windows Live Gallery where I can organize all our pictures and create albums,” she added.

The 11-week endeavor is the company’s first multi-product campaign, which is currently being rolled out in 35 countries including the Philippines. Microsoft has unveiled a combination of TV commercials, display advertising and social media to reach consumers and demonstrate how its family of products work together to enhance productivity and allow them to stay in touch with their loved ones.

Three TV commercials have been launched to tell the story of how parents and children, as well as relatives in other places, can easily communicate and maintain special ties with one another using desktops, laptops and even smartphones running on the Windows platform. Aside from the commercials, Microsoft also reached out Filipino consumers through a series of digital ads in popular local portals and cinemas, and radio plugs, as well as a tie-up with SM Malls for retail activations.

“We decided to engage consumers through the Windows Holiday Campaign to allow them to better enjoy technology and realize its role in bringing families together,” added Moreno.

As part of the campaign, Microsoft is treating Filipinos to an early Christmas present with a holiday consumer promotion that gives them the chance to bring their family of four (4) to Singapore or win a brand new Mitsubishi Montero sport. To join, participants must purchase a device pre-installed with Windows 7 or a Windows 7 Full Packaged Product (FPP) from any Star Partner retailer* and successfully accomplish the electronic raffle coupon by visiting www.windows.com.ph (Per DTI-NCR Permit No. 8081, Series of 2011).

In addition to this, Microsoft will also be holding Windows Family Fun Stations across all SM Malls to showcase the newest gadgets available from its partners. During these activations, the PC Migration Assistance service will also be available to help consumers migrate their date to Windows 7.
